Google Chrome on Windows 7 64-bit
Well, I am glad to say Google has acknowledged the problem with running Google Chrome under Windows 7 64-bit. I am using one of the recommended fixes --in-process-plugins, which works most of the time.
However, Google says you shouldn't do it, as it disables some security options, making you more vulnerable, as per http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Chrome/thread?tid=5111f112bcd233e1&hl=en
So, whats the fix? Well, there isn't one unless you want to try the beta of the latest version, something i am considering, after all i am running a beta of Windows 7!!
Here's the link anyhow.

Blogs, Blogs Blogs
What is the fascination with multiple blogs. I am getting used to Twitter, and i think Facebook is starting to lose its appeal. I think i could get used to blogging, but don't find much to write - any clues???

More Email Addresses....
Its amazing how many email addresses you can get these days - just signed up for a ymail account - and thought you could migrate from a yahoo account. You may be able to but its very hard to find in the help.

Gmail Spam Filters
Well, I have moved most of my email hosting over to Google Apps, but have found that a lot of spam gets through, albeit placed into my spam folder.
What I don't understand is how they seem to accept this even when they know it is spam. When will Google resolve its obsession with receiving and processing spam.
Its fairly easy to handle - just delete everything from the spam folder, but i was thinking that it shouldn't be there in the first place.

Windows 7
Well, I have been trying out Windows 7 64-bit, and so far I am impressed. All my hardware works ok with the drivers, the o/s is quick and stable. So I am very keen.
The greatest thing is the fact you can drag your browser window to the left or right and it occupies half your screen, which is great when you have a 22in monitor ;-)
Software I have tried so far are as follows.
- Google Chrome (needs the optional --in-process-plugins adding to the target properties)
- Itunes V8 64-bit, which seems fine
- Nokia Data Suite V7.0 (works fine, but you need to tell the installer its Vista)
I am going to try MS Money 2005 and MS Office 2007 Enterprise next - wish me luck!!
